A collected lake retreat in blues and warm wood, furnished around pieces the family already owned.
A retreat that had been in the family long enough to have its own furniture, its own habits, and a few things nobody was allowed to move.
We worked around them. A blue island kitchen, a hall of built in bookshelves, and seating arranged so the room finally faces the water rather than the television.
