A lake house in rift oak, brick, and soapstone, built to take a wet swimsuit without flinching.
Lake houses have to work harder than they look. This one hosts a crowd most weekends between May and October, and it still had to photograph well on a quiet morning.
Rift sawn oak throughout, a plaster range hood, brick behind the bar, and window seats deep enough to sleep on. Every fabric was chosen for people who come in straight off the water.
